From sealed box to first prompt in minutes.

This preview documentation describes the intended launch flow. The final appliance ships with a model-specific safety guide and deployment card.

1. Before you begin

Choose a ventilated indoor location near your network switch or router. You will need one power outlet, one Ethernet port and a laptop connected to the same local network.

• Keep at least 10 cm of clearance around ventilation panels.
• Do not place the appliance in a closed cabinet.
• Ask your network administrator to reserve a local address when required.

3. Open LionBox

From a laptop on the same network, open http://lionbox.local. If local-name discovery is disabled on your network, use the IP address shown in the companion setup screen.

Create the administrator

The administrator signs in through the companion app, pairs with the nearby box over Bluetooth and configures network access. Set up approved local workspace accounts for employees. Administrator identity and update downloads use the phone’s internet connection; employee AI content remains on the appliance. Store recovery information according to your company policy.

4. Create your first knowledge space

1. Open Knowledge and choose New space.
2. Name the space and select which team roles can access it.
3. Add approved PDF, DOCX or text files.
4. Wait until local indexing is complete, then ask a question in chat.

5. Verify offline operation

After setup and model installation, disconnect the network's internet gateway while leaving the local switch active. Refresh the LionBox workspace and run a prompt. Local chat and indexed knowledge remain available.
